Day Program Servicing Adults with Special Needs

Our day program serves adults 21+ with developmental disabilities.  We have 2 sessions to choose from, a morning and an afternoon session.  Both sessions emphasize daily living skills, pre-vocational training, socialization and recreation.  Most days, our participants travel into our local community to practice and reinforce these skills.  Additional programming includes but is not limited to: sign language, Cosmetology, Jewelry making, Cooking, and volunteering within the community.

Round trip, door-to-door transportation is provided for all clients and extends to those who qualify within a 25-mile radius of our location.  We also provide transportation to/from local doctors and dentist appointments,  to social and recreational activities such as to stores, to the movies etc.  

We provide 2 meals for all participants during both AM and PM sessions.  Our registered dietitians will take into consideration any religious and/or dietary restrictions.

Are 2 facilities are located in two picturesque Neighborhoods in Wayne and Nutley, NJ.

We have 2 sessions you can choose from:

from  8:30AM - 1:30PM

Afternoon session runs

 from 1:30PM - 6:30PM

We offer an individualized, flexible scheduling option.  Many attend Monday through Friday, but attendance is up to your schedule, you have the option to choose the number of days you attend!  For those who work part-time, Beyond 21's program can be a good supplement for non-working days.

Licensed registered nurses are centrally located on-site at our facility to provide access to medical care and monitor medical needs.  We can provide on-site emergency medical care should the need ever arise which enables us to provide piece of mind to our families.

Support and Guidance​ 

Our on-staff social worker is available to provide supportive counseling, to connect individuals with community resources and to provide any other supports that may be needed.
